Pick-up

The WLB has no influence over the time taken to process requests. On average, delivery within Germany takes approx. 2 to 4 weeks. It may take longer, however, if the requested work is on loan from several libraries.

You will be notified in writing, by e-mail or letter, of the arrival of the books you have requested. If a work has been loaned on the condition that it will not be removed from the library, this is indicated on the postcard together with details of where it is being held for you (e.g. main reading room). If the lending library has stipulated conditions for the loan (e.g. loan period, no photocopying allowed), the WLB is responsible for ensuring compliance with these conditions. Renewals can be carried out using the renewal function in your library account.

Requested copies will generally be sent to you.
